Upon a Stone Alter

I can't help but appreciate the natural beauty of my home island of Pohnpei. Every day I take for granted the environment I was born into which continues to provide life for myself and the thousands of Pohnpeians who currently call Pohnpei their home.

Working for a conservation NGO increases my interest to contribute as much as I can to help preserve the marine and terrestrial environment for the future generations to enjoy.

This is a long and hard working task, one, that needs all stakeholders involvement, e.g. the government, communities, citizens, NGO's and the international partners.

Everyone has to contribute and help promote and sustain our islands and our way of life.
